Lastly, watery eyes can also be a symptom of dry eyes.  Especially during winter, your eyes will over-stimulate tear production as a protective mechanism.  But this tear production does not stay on the eye long enough to provide adequate lubrication.

Dry Eye Tests

For some individuals, dry eyes syndrome is an easy condition to solve.  Sometimes, over-the-counter eye drops and taking frequent breaks from your computer may significantly improve your eyes.  But dry eye conditions can differ in severity, this may be very painful and bothersome.  Some dry eye conditions may need treatments such as punctual plugs, amniotic membranes, serum tears, scleral lenses, or ipl.  At our office, we provide different tests to reveal the reasons for and causes of dry eyes.  Only then, a doctor can customize the best dry eye treatment to keep your eyes comfortable and healthy.
