Dr. Samin Pezeshk, OD
 

DR. SAMIN PEZESHK, OD

Samin Pezeshk, O.D. is an accomplished eye health professional who takes great pride in delivering high-quality vision care with skill and dedication to every patient.

Dr. Pezeshk earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Minnesota State University Moorhead, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2005. She then attended Indiana University School of Optometry, where she graduated with honors. Furthering her expertise, she completed a post-graduate fellowship specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease and cataract surgery co-management.

With extensive experience in pre-operative evaluations, post-operative care, and the management of glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and dry eyes, Dr. Pezeshk is a leader in her field. She has received numerous honors and awards, including:

  • Merck Index Award

  • Phi Lambda Epsilon Honor

  • Sol Shulman Award

  • Academic Research Scholarship

She has also presented and published research at national meetings and has lectured to fellow doctors across the country.

Outside of her profession, Dr. Pezeshk loves spending time with her husband, Jeremy, and their daughters, Ava and Ella, along with their dog, Macy. As a family, they enjoy traveling and consider themselves foodies. She also has a passion for fashion and eyewear design, carefully curating unique specialty frames from around the world for her optical collection.


 

DR. JESSICA HERNANDEZ, OD

Dr. Hernandez is a proficient eye health professional dedicated to educating patients on the newest treatments and advancements in the eyecare industry while addressing each patient’s ocular concerns.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and her Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering through the joint program at The University of Texas at San Antonio and UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. Her thesis, focused on ocular trauma–induced changes in aqueous and plasma biomarker expression levels, was funded by the Department of Defense and presented at ARVO in 2015 in Denver, Colorado.

Dr. Hernandez worked at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where she evaluated and processed ocular tissue for transplantation and collaborated with the Lions Eye Bank. She later attended The University of the Incarnate Word – Rosenberg School of Optometry, where her passion for the military and veterans led her to complete rotations at Lackland Air Force Base and the VA clinics in Harlingen and McAllen, Texas. Through these experiences, she became highly skilled in ocular disease, pre- and post-operative evaluations, and low vision workups.

Outside of her profession, Dr. Hernandez enjoys traveling, swimming, and gardening. She can often be found spending time at the park, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, or visiting the family ranch, where she enjoys the open fields and cattle alongside her husband, Luis, and their son, Nicolas.


OUR OFFICE

Our office is located at 4553 N Loop 1604 W , inside the Ridge Shopping Center. Access to the office is located in the back of the building on the 2nd floor.
