DR. SAMIN PEZESHK, OD
Owner and lead Doctor, Samin Pezeshk is an accomplished eye health professional who prides herself in bringing a high level of skill and dedication to providing leading vision care to each and every patient. Dr. Pezeshk received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Minnesota State University Moorhead, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2005. She later went on to attend Indiana University School of Optometry where she graduated with honors. Additionally, she completed a post-graduate fellowship in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease and cataract surgery co-management. Dr. Pezeshk has extensive experience in pre-operative evaluation, post-operative care, diagnosis/management of glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and dry eyes. She has received many honors and awards including the Merck Index Award, Phi Lambda Epsilon honor, Sol Shulman Award, and the Academic Research Scholarship. Dr. Pezeshk has presented and published research at several national meetings. Additionally, she has presented lectures to other doctors throughout the country. Dr. Pezeshk enjoys spending her free time with her husband Jeremy, daughters, Ava and Ella & their two dogs, Macy and Murphy. They like to travel and are self-proclaimed “foodies.” She also loves the fashion and style involved in stocking the optical full of unique specialty frames from around the world.
DR. JESSICA HERNANDEZ, OD
A proficient eye health professional whose goal is to educate patients on the newest treatments and advancements in the eyecare industry, while fulfilling every patient’s ocular concerns. Dr. Hernandez received her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and her Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the joint program at The University of Texas at San Antonio/ UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. Her thesis was in Ocular Trauma – Induced Changes in Aqueous and Plasma Biomarker Expression Levels, which was funded by the Department of Defense and presented at ARVO in 2015 in Denver, Colorado. She worked at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Tx, where she evaluated and processed ocular tissue for transplantation and collaborated with the Lions Eye Bank. She later attended The University of the Incarnate Word – Rosenberg School of Optometry, where her passion for the military and veterans led her to rotate through Lackland’s Air Force Base and the VA in Harlingen and McAllen, Tx. She became skilled in ocular disease, pre-/post-operative evaluation and care, along with low vision workups. Her interests include traveling, swimming, and gardening. You will most likely find her enjoying the day at the park, making a mess in the kitchen cooking up a new recipe, or escaping to the family ranch to be alongside cattle and open fields with her husband Luis and their son Nicolas.

Our office is located at 4553 N Loop 1604 W , inside the Ridge Shopping Center. Bright and spacious, the elegant decor in the office is the perfect venue for featuring frames as artwork. Creatively displayed are over 500 frame styles by a wide variety of frame designers. Our entire optometry staff is committed to ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of each and every patient.
